At the Yellow Bear Foundation, every new partnership is an opportunity to create a brighter tomorrow for families facing primary immunodeficiency. That is why we are excited to announce our collaboration with Ashley I. Lynn, APN, NP-C, PhD(c) with Seeded Health. This partnership marks an important step forward for our organization and for families living with primary immunodeficiency throughout the Central Illinois area and beyond.

Living with primary immunodeficiency is rarely straightforward. Care often extends far beyond treating infections alone. The immune system affects many parts of the body, and when it is not functioning properly, the challenges can be complex and far-reaching.

Ashley brings a thoughtful, whole-person approach to immunodeficiency care, combining her background in both traditional and functional medicine. She understands that effective treatment means looking beyond a diagnosis and considering each patient’s full health picture. For example, while antibiotics are often necessary and lifesaving, long-term or frequent antibiotic use can sometimes contribute to additional concerns, such as Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), that require careful management.

Through this partnership, Ashley will provide specialized support and oversight at the Yellow Bear Foundation clinic. Her presence during infusions offers an additional layer of reassurance for patients and families, as well as the opportunity for visits or consultations to help ensure each patient’s IgG therapy is the right medication, dose, and fit for their needs. She will also help families navigate insurance-related barriers, including support with IgG prior authorizations.

Patients who are already connected with an immunology specialist can see Ashley as an added layer of care and support. For those who are not yet established with a specialist, the clinic can also provide a pathway for screening, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing guidance.

By bringing Ashley’s expertise into our clinic, we are taking another meaningful step toward a future where individuals living with primary immunodeficiency have greater access to specialized care, stronger support systems, and fewer barriers standing between them and the treatment they need.
